Cosmic Photo prompt.

Since we went to the dark side for last week’s theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, I thought it only fair that this week’s prompt should be; The cold light of day.

Pretty broad, I think you’ll agree, so just show us something that wasn’t taken at night and you’re all good for Monday’s post.

Have yourselves a great weekend and happy snapping.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today’s foray into photographic fun takes The Cosmic Photo Challenge into the dark, as I asked you to take your photos; At night.

I admit I had one picture of an impressive “ice halo” around the moon in reserve, (in case the weather didn’t cooperate) but I did also manage to capture a few images of the night sky, both with and without clouds.

These were all taken in almost total darkness, but with thirty second exposures, so the light from neighbouring houses is somewhat exaggerated.

What did the nocturnal world provide for you at the weekend, do show us, it’s easy to do…

Ooh, get me, being all punctual for your prompt on The Cosmic Photo Challenge today.

So before I get sidetracked, I’ll tell you that your photos for Monday’s post should be taken; At night.

That’s it, couldn’t be simpler if I tried, so get out in the dark at the weekend and capture us some nocturnal images to enjoy at the start of the week.

Have a nice break and I’ll see you back here to show and tell in a few days.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

For this week on The Cosmic Photo Challenge I asked you to capture your images; From close up.

It was a decidedly unpleasant weekend outside, so all but one of my shots came from indoors.

What did you zoom in on for today’s challenge? Show and tell time…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Today’s prompt on The Cosmic Photo Challenge is simple one which covers almost any subject, because all your images require to qualify is to be; From close up.

It’s a theme I like to repeat on a semi-regular basis, as I love to see things in a way that reveals the previously unseen.

So on Monday the devil will be in the detail as you get up close and personal with whatever takes your photographic fancy over the weekend.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week on The Cosmic Photo Challenge I asked you to get your inspiration; From ground level.

I went with the literal interpretation and all my photos are taken from mere inches above the ground.

A reflection of trees in a puddle, an obliging skateboarder doing tricks for me in the town’s pannier market and a couple of low down shots of the old streets around church square make up my vertically-challenged offerings.

How low did you go to achieve your results? Let’s have a look, it’s easy to do…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good evening and welcome to an unusually timely prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge on Monday.

This week’s theme allows for all sorts of scope, providing your submitted images conform to the concept of; From ground level.

There, that’s one we haven’t done before and we can discover new angles of inspiration together.

Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you all back here to start the week with photos to floor each other with.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

For this edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge I asked you to illustrate the essence of the prompt; In the trees.

Despite hobbling around like a malfunctioning android, due to my back still having all the flexibility and resilience of a breadstick, I managed to get out a couple of times to capture either end of yesterday.

From sunrise over Landkey to twilight in the woods just down the road from home, here are my forest of photos, all of which contain at least one visible tree, no matter how distant…

…well, almost; the sunrise over the river was too nice to leave out.

;~}

Before we leaf this week’s theme, let’s see how you branched out, it’s time for y’all to take a bough, if you twig what I mean…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good morning, I hope your week was successful and that Saturday finds you safe and well, because now it’s time for your weekend homework on The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

The forecast doesn’t look too threatening for the next couple of days, so I’m gambling on being able to get out and about to take some pictures which meet the simple brief; In the trees.

I’ve already noticed many of you appreciate the intrinsically artistic outlines of arboreal architecture and there’s no better time of year to capture the stark, skeletal beauty of bare branches and twisted twigs, making up the imposing organic sculptures which nature has constructed.

See you on Monday, have a great weekend, happy snapping.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Hi there, I hope all your weekends went well and that you’re ready for another edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, this week brought to you by the prompt; Shades of grey.

I wasn’t able to get out and take photos this week, because of the increasingly crippling back pain I’ve been experiencing since Friday, so I had to make do with a few monochromatic images from the archives.

Here are a couple of black and white sunsets over Barnstaple, a picture postcard cottage near Bideford and Damien Hirst’s spectacular statue, Verity, on Ilfracombe harbour.

Now it’s your turn to cast some shade on proceedings, so let’s see whatcha got…
