Today’s foray into photographic fun takes The Cosmic Photo Challenge into the dark, as I asked you to take your photos; At night.
I admit I had one picture of an impressive “ice halo” around the moon in reserve, (in case the weather didn’t cooperate) but I did also manage to capture a few images of the night sky, both with and without clouds.
These were all taken in almost total darkness, but with thirty second exposures, so the light from neighbouring houses is somewhat exaggerated.
What did the nocturnal world provide for you at the weekend, do show us, it’s easy to do…

This looked so creepy, I had to add it: https://geriatrixfotogallerie.wordpress.com/2021/02/08/at-night-addition/

I especially liked the ice halo around the moon. The thirty second exposures must be what gave you all those stars.

Yes, I only mastered the settings on Saturday and was hoping to get some clearer shots yesterday. But the clouds never played ball. ;~{

That halo around the moon is impressive. Here’s a random collection starting in the late 1970s:

How come I missed your prompt before the weekend? So I can offer a street view — https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2021/02/08/the-weather-outside-was-frightful/
