Cosmic Photo prompt.

There’s a very definite chill in the air, as I sit here in the garden with my morning coffee, so this week’s theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge reflects the oncoming change of seasons, (with the usual caveat to any readers in southern climes) with the prompt; As summer fades.

Take an opportunity to capture the neverending, kaleidoscopic turn of nature’s colour wheel, as we move into the last third of 2021 and bring your photographic offerings to display in Monday’s post.

Have a great weekend, y’all.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge is entirely your call, because the prompt was; Freestyle.

I have a few random images from the last week to offer you, starting with a rather obliging small tortoiseshell butterfly, which posed long enough for me to get a nice close-up…

…followed by an interesting view of a spider in the shed and a shot of the local crows coming home to roost.

Then we come to the inevitable mucking about section; starting with a composite image of three lucky consecutive shots of a squirrel I captured, as he jumped out of the flowerbed…

…and ending with an edited version of a simple photo of my reflection in an empty picture frame.

Now I’m keen to see what you have in store for us this week, so let’s have a look, don’t be shy.

Cosmic Photo prompt.

For this week’s theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, I’m once again leaving the field wide open, as we’re going; Freestyle.

This is partly due to a lack of inspiration, but mainly because I’m always impressed by the creativity you lot show when left to your own devices.

So give it your best shot and go for something artistic, imaginative and inventive, try something you haven’t tried before, be adventurous, surprise yourself with new creative experiences. Or just capture the subjects you love most, it’s entirely up to you.

As ever, we’ll meet back here to compare notes on Monday, see you then.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

For today’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, I asked you to capture your photos; Out in the country.

I nearly lost my gamble with the weather by waiting until Sunday to go out taking pictures, but I managed to dodge the showers for long enough to plod up Codden Hill.

I took in the spectacular views (five counties are visible on a clear day) from the foot of the memorial Jeremy Thorpe erected to his wife, Caroline in 1971, which you can share by watching the short video below.

Where did your search for rural photographic inspiration take you at the weekend?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

For this week’s theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge I’ll make it very straightforward by giving you the prompt; Out in the country.

Nature is looking rather lovely at the moment, so let’s all just take the time to relax and soak up the beauty of our local wild places. Hopefully this won’t result in the dreaded Cosmic Photo Weather Jinx and we’ll have some glorious sunshine and flowers to share and brighten everyone’s Monday morning.

Have a great weekend, happy snapping, y’all.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Hello there, welcome to another Monday morning post from The Cosmic Photo Challenge, this week brought to you by the prompt; From the inside.

As I sat in the shed with my coffee on Saturday morning, looking at the grey sky and listening to the rain dripping off the trees onto the roof, I realise I could draw my inspiration from the view right in front of me.

So I made these optical oddities.

Time to show us what drew your eye this week…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good evening, I hope your Friday is winding down acceptably.

Before we get to today’s prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge I’d like to make a small announcement…

*ahem*

Today (August 6th) is those lovely people at Bandcamp’s fee waiver day, when for one day only ALL proceeds from sales go to the artists.

So if you’re browsing my back catalogue of original material* and find something you like, you can be happy in the knowledge that The Man won’t be taking his slice of my (very reasonably priced) pie.

CLICK HERE to check it out

Thank you for your attention.

*listen for free on Bandcamp (free remix album also available)

So, to the theme for Monday’s post, I’d like you to please provide images based on the prompt; From the inside.

As ever, interpret that however you wish and we’ll all see what we came up with after the weekend, which I hope brings you inspiration, recreation and relaxation in equal measure.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

For The Cosmic Photo Challenge this week, I asked you to provide us with some images to illustrate the prompt; A room with a view.

I decided it was unfair that all the best views are from the inside, looking out, so…

How did your captures from the weekend shape up? Let everyone have a look, it’s easy when you know how…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

I do apologise, even for me this is a late prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge, so let’s make it a quick one; A room with a view.

Spin that however you wish and come back to show us all what you captured on Monday. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you on the other side.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Hi there, welcome to Monday and also to The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which this week is all about what happens when you; Drain the colours.

I chose to showcase the *lack of* beautiful colours of some of the flowers in the garden.

But before that…

…I have been posting my challenge photos on Photo Sans Frontieres on Facebook, where I have recently encouraged group members to get involved. Well I am happy to say that this week I can include a fabulous shot of a cast-off dragonfly skin (known as the exuvia) from new member, Clive Wilson.

Now let’s see your monochromatic offerings…
