Another wet and windy Saturday brings another slightly late prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge, today brought to you by the three states of; Solid, liquid and gas.

Ok, I know, that encompasses just about anything you can think of, but maybe the specifics will inspire you to experiment.

One liner Wednesday: Alternative dictionary.

For this week’s badly spelled entry in the alternative dictionary, we get a little theological and a little poetic;

“Acrostic” – A nervous twitch brought on by religion.

See, I came up with a poem today Created so I could write it this way
I think it’s quite fine
Even these two lines rhyme
Never mind what real poets say.
Can’t think of a seven line verse
Eh, maybe that would’ve been worse.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Hello and welcome to The Cosmic Photo Challenge, here to brighten the start of a chilly Monday with images taken in; The cold light of day.

It was fortunate that I stopped off at Instow beach on Saturday to take my photos for this week’s challenge, since the weather turned truly nasty yesterday.

You might get the impression from the bright sunshine that it was a pleasantly warm stroll along the harbour, but I can confirm that it was, indeed, extremely cold and blustery. In fact I was almost toppled off the sea wall on several occasions while capturing these windblown shots.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today’s foray into photographic fun takes The Cosmic Photo Challenge into the dark, as I asked you to take your photos; At night.

I admit I had one picture of an impressive “ice halo” around the moon in reserve, (in case the weather didn’t cooperate) but I did also manage to capture a few images of the night sky, both with and without clouds.

These were all taken in almost total darkness, but with thirty second exposures, so the light from neighbouring houses is somewhat exaggerated.

Ooh, get me, being all punctual for your prompt on The Cosmic Photo Challenge today.

So before I get sidetracked, I’ll tell you that your photos for Monday’s post should be taken; At night.

That’s it, couldn’t be simpler if I tried, so get out in the dark at the weekend and capture us some nocturnal images to enjoy at the start of the week.

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Today’s prompt on The Cosmic Photo Challenge is simple one which covers almost any subject, because all your images require to qualify is to be; From close up.

It’s a theme I like to repeat on a semi-regular basis, as I love to see things in a way that reveals the previously unseen.

So on Monday the devil will be in the detail as you get up close and personal with whatever takes your photographic fancy over the weekend.
