Good morning, I hope your week has started successfully, whether you are back at work or enjoying the sunshine on this glorious bank holiday Monday. But wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, it’s time to take a break and check out the sumptuous, summery images in this week’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which today is prompted by the theme; Here comes Summer.
I took a very pleasant drive up into the hills above Barnstaple again yesterday, this time capturing the views from around the village of Heanton Punchardon. I’ve included a short video, giving a 360° view from a field below the village, so you too can enjoy the peace and quiet of the Devon countryside.

What delights did you find for us to wonder at this week, come on, we’d love to see…

I really like the cornflower (if that what it is) with the bee in the middle. But best of all I like the skies with the clouds – that’s what summer feels like.
I wanted to say that earlier but was in a rush. and I’ve added the streetname to my post now.

I especially like the purple and red flower at the end and the path through the tall grass to the church. Beautiful countryside!

I like the photos of the church… very impressive.
Summer for me means colour, so I’ve tweaked it a little: https://wp.me/pVkLb-5qi

The graveyard shot for me because it’s different from most graveyard photos. The black and white church is also nice but half of the shots won’t load. A couple of signs of summer from me:

Oops, probably the title gif slowing down your ropey internet connection, sorry.

Very summerly indeed. I saw a few butterflies this week (and I freely admit that I added a few from my archives for my collage). I also wanted to include a photo of our street sign as I live in Sommerstraße (Summer Street) – I was so sure to have a photo of it somewhere. I was wrong I will possibly add that tonight after I took a photo of it.
