For this week’s mission on The Cosmic Photo Challenge I asked you to capture some arcane architecture for the prompt; Buildings of the past.
I admit to having cheated slightly, already knowing that I would have a chance to see some old buildings on a short visit to Exeter during the week. These were all taken around and about the imposing cathedral in the city centre.

Now let’s see the historical constructions in your locations.

How beautiful buildings. We don’t have that kind of cool, old stone buildings here ☺️

There’s some nice detail in the cathedral but the red field stone is very unusual. I had to go to my archives as there’s nothing very old in this part of Ontario:

Impressive array – I stuck with one building: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2021/05/17/einhards-basilica-in-steinbach/

I especially liked the red stone in the cathedral pictures. Those carvings of the people along the wall of the cathedral are also interesting. I assume they were saints.
