I set the theme for The Cosmic Photo Challenge on Saturday, hoping the weather would still be playing ball on Sunday evening, because the prompt was; At the end of the day.
Lucky for me it was a beautiful weekend, so my trip to Instow beach yesterday turned out to be just in time to catch the start of an almost perfect sunset.

I also captured some more star trails last night, which I thought I’d include as a bonus photo, despite the two and a half hour exposure technically just overrunning into this morning.

What did you see that was worth shooting this week, don’t be shy, let’s all have a look…

Those are beautiful sunsets. In the top one I wonder if one can walk on the brown part below. It adds a nice contrast to the small bit of blue water at the horizon just below the sun.

Saturday evening was mostly cloudy but warm. Sunday evening was cloudy, bitterly cold with light snow at times. So I went to my archives for most of the post:

I can’t pick a stand out of your post as our internet connection is so slow and flaky it’s difficult to load pages lot of the time at the moment.

Damn, I’d already placed a bet with myself which one you’d pick, too. ;~}

By the time I had finished writing the comment there was narrow strips of the tops of about five photos loaded.

Why is your connection so poor, is it a technical issue with your provider, or just bad coverage generally in your area?

I think it’s a combination of issues. We’re in a rural area with poor coverage and with being in lockdown and under a stay at home order there is a lot more people using the Internet in the area.

Ahhh… the colours at sunset – simply to die for (figuratively speaking, of course). The little brother of death is also my topic today: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2021/04/26/you-are-right-here/
