The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Another week dawns and a new edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge is upon us, this Monday brought to you by the prompt; Liquids.

I set the theme with no clear idea in mind, just a plan to try out the combination of the high resolution camera on my new phone and my new, Bluetooth-enabled tripod.

As it was a nice sunny day for a change, Audrey and I went walkabout yesterday afternoon, in search of rivers to photograph after the recent deluge the UK has been experiencing over the last couple of weeks.

But as soon as we started walking the clouds appeared and down came the rain again. So we dodged the showers and moved from place to place, capturing the reflective and kinetic properties of water in the wild.

This rushing water on the corner of a stream…

…is transformed into an ethereal mist with a long exposure.

The river Taw in Rock Park was flowing rapidly out to the estuary, in one of the irregular spells of sunshine and Audrey did some moody emo posing for me at the edge of a suitably photogenic puddle.

Meanwhile, back at home, I found some air bubbles in a bottle of wine and I set the tripod up in the sink to take some close-up drop shots, so to speak.
