Cosmic Photo prompt.

A very happy weekend to you, one and all, welcome to your regular prompt for K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, this week set by K’lee.

He posted too late for me to catch him yesterday, but I can now reveal that the theme for Monday’s edition of the challenge is; A blue sky’d background.

Yes, the sky’s the limit for this one, so look up and capture some (hopefully) bright winter vistas for us to wonder over, at the start of 2017’s penultimate week.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I could have used today’s pictures for K’lee’s “three textures” prompt, last week on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, but they go just as well here, using the theme of; Skin.

I’m not sure what made me choose that one, but my examples are the palm of my own hand, the skin of an aloe vera leaf, the shine of rich chocolate sauce, glimpsed through volcanic skin of Rhonda’s Lava Pudding Cake and the “skin” of surface tension on a glass of water.

You can find out what treasures K’lee unearthed from his vast collection, HERE.

Now it’s time for you to show us your stuff.

Cosmic Photo prompt.

My turn to choose the theme for this week’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge and I’ve decided to go for something we all have in common, (as do a lot of other things, like; custard, potatoes, tomatoes, divers and teeth) because today’s prompt is; Skin.

So make of that what you will and show us the results on Monday.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Sorry I’m so late for this week’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, I had rather a late night last night and slept in this morning.

I also had a very long day on Saturday, (details to follow) from which I have taken today’s photos, tenuously linked to K’lee’s prompt; Textures x3.

I had every intention of finding inspiration over the weekend, but I had to cram an awful lot in and time just got away from me.

So I’m going to use three textures of sky to meet today’s brief; two taken on the motorway (dash-mounted camera, safety fans) and one in the garden of the friend we visited; from grey and decidedly unpleasant, to the blue promise of better weather on the way, to the soft and warm colours of dusk.

K’lee’s usual visual flair is showcased in his post HERE and I will shortly return with the whole story from Saturday, but now it’s your chance to shine…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

This weeks edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge is brought to you by K’lee and his prompt; Textures x 3.

I’ll let him explain…

“I know. Some of you may be asking yourselves, ‘what does he mean by that?’ To which I’d say, the challenge this week is intended to get you thinking of TEXTURES, but make it three different types! Those three textures can literally be anything you want: wood, a flower petal, a building’s steel girder, absolutely anything.”

So there you have it, get textural with your entries and we’ll see you on Monday.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today’s theme for K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge was set by me and gave plenty of scope for photographic subjects; Downtown.

I chose to snap some pictures of an old section of Barnstaple, the narrow cobbled lanes around a church in the centre of town.

Here, also, are the alms houses and a tea room which used to be a school for the poor. (I’ve included a better view of the sign above each door)

K’lee gives us the tour HERE, so go and have a look round his stunning city.

But now it’s time to give us a tour of your hometown…

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today is the day that K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge shows how grateful it is to K’lee, for providing us with this week’s prompt; Gratitude.

It happens that today is the third anniversary of Rhonda and Audrey arriving in the country to begin our lives together, so I thought I’d compile some of my favourite portraits of them, to show how grateful I am to have them here.

K’lee’s fabulous post is HERE, so go check it out.

Now it’s time to show us what you’re grateful for.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

A new week brings a new batch of pictures in K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, this week with a prompt chosen by me; Man made meets Mother Nature.

I went looking for inspiration along the river, picking the imposing industrial forms of the electricity pylons as a theme and finding a few other examples of manufactured objects living, with greater or lesser success, in the wild:

Then I was struck by the artistic possibilities of the pylons’ geometric designs and made these two rather pretty composite images to round off today’s post.

You can see what treasures K’lee found for us, HERE, and they’re gorgeous

Now it’s your chance to flaunt it, so show us watcha got…

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Time to get spooky with this week’s theme for K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, as K’lee chose; Things that go bump in the night as your Friday prompt.

I thought I’d go traditional, after accompanying Audrey and her friends on a Trick or Treat tour of the neighbourhood…

…by making a movie poster from the scary Jack o’ lantern Rhonda carved for our doorstep.

K’lee has scared up some photos for us HERE, go and check then out, they’re awesome.

Now it’s your turn…

A week in the park.

As promised, the rest of our week’s walks along the riverbank, in photos.

dalecooper57's avatarImages From An Internet Nobody

Audrey was on half term last week, so while I was off work we went for a walk each day, in Barnstaple’s Rock Park and along the banks of the river Taw.

It got Audrey off YouTube for an hour or so, she got an ice cream out of it and I got some nice photos into the bargain.
