Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good morning/afternoon/evening to you, wherever you may be and welcome to another Friday prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today I am asking you to apply your ingenious (or should that be igneous?) creativity to the theme; Set in stone.

Any type of stony subject matter is acceptable, be it geological, monumental, or architectural, so get snapping and find something to rock our world for Monday’s post.

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Your prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge this week could take you in any number of directions, as long as your contributions somehow invoke; The dark and the light.

Shadows, contrasting colours, black and white, day and night, umm…good and evil..? Well, you get the idea and I know y’all are creative enough to come up with your very own spin on the theme.

Because that’s what it’s all about; how you interpret the theme each week is entirely up to you. It’s great to see different perspectives on the prompts and I am grateful to everyone who has participated in the Cosmic Photo Challenge over the years, your talent and vision is a constant inspiration and influence in making imaginative imagery.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Welcome, everyone, to this revamped edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, (as it will be known pending K’lee’s return) complete with a new badge for you to add to your weekly challenge posts should you feel inclined.

On Friday I set a simple theme of; From above, a mission I accomplished on a trip into town with Audrey on Saturday, when the two of us scaled the Barnstaple Castle Mound to eat our lunchtime pasties and take in the rather blustery view.

So here are some shots of the town and surrounding landscape (and Audrey) from above, the sides of the river valley in which Barnstaple stands just visible in the distance.

K’lee’s blog is taking a sabbatical for a while, so there will be some minor (hopefully temporary) rebranding from next week but, other than that nothing will change, the challenge will remain the same.

For this week’s prompt on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, I’m giving you a chance to display your creative talents and get out in the fresh air at the same time, with; Nature as art.

However you want to define a work of art from nature is entirely up to you, as long as there’s photography involved.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Hello and apologies for the lateness of the hour, I’ve been run off my feet today and have hardly had time to eat, let alone compose this week’s K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge post. But I’m here now and ready to give my contribution to K’lee’s prompt; Textures in my life.

I kept it simple and picked half a dozen images in the vicinity of my immediate daily life:

A couple of contrasting plants on the kitchen windowsill; one of this weekend’s batch of my homemade muffins (cranberry, goji berry, sunflower seed, lemon and cornmeal, recipe on request, should you be interested); a pebble-dashed wall, with varied focus, giving a soft and hard texture in one photo; some aluminium swarf from inside the CNC machine at work, and the rubber safety mat in front of it.

Hello and welcome to another wonderful Monday…!

Oh, alright, let’s get on with K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge and maybe the week will fly past that little bit quicker.

I gave you a simple theme to play with on Friday; Look up. So I did just that, capturing a very colourful sunset and a couple of long exposure test shots of the starry sky last night. I intend to continue experimenting with that in the near future, as I’d like to see how I do with moon shots. Watch this (outer) space…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

It falls on me to provide inspiration for this week’s K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, which I shall do by leaving you with the prompt; Look up.

Give us some images from on high, some pictures from the perpendicular, if you will. Anything which requires you to angle your viewpoint above the horizontal qualifies for Monday’s post, so we’ll see you back then to compare notes.
