Midweek mix.

For my latest experiment in sound, I have been playing with complex rhythms and vocal samples.

The idea that it is hard to spot rhythmic themes from their component parts until they are all brought together, was the basis for my weekend’s sonic alchemy, which goes some way to explain the initially puzzling intro to this, a track I’m calling Kon-Fusion.

Give it a minute to get going, then see what you think…

Friday night hot mix.

And now something for your Friday night listening pleasure; another extended burst of frenetic electronic sonic experimentation from my expanding Bandcamp catalogue.

This tune was carefully constructed from two completely separate component tracks, each made using my sampler/sequencer app, which I then mixed together on my digital DJ decks to create the multi-layered EDM megamix which is Fraktur.

Sunday mix.

Another techno megamix, with which to enliven your Sunday afternoon, created over two days of meticulous sequencing and looping last weekend.

Enjoy the rhythmic wonders of Holodaze.

The return of Techno Tuesday.

Another Bandcamp release for your listening pleasure; this one is a bit of an epic masterpiece, even if I do say so myself, (which, of course, I do) as it should be, given that I spent all weekend making it.

So crank up your speakers and enjoy the complex rhythms and sweeping soundscapes of Transposition.

Go on, have a boogie, you know you want to…

Sunday techno rock mix.

Yes, I have been at it again; playing with my sampler and mixing decks to produce a double layered, bespoke and completely original new mix. Combining pumping techno rhythms with wall of sound guitar feedback and metal riffs, I bring you Metalik, an epic masterpiece now available on Bandcamp.

You can listen for free and/or purchase the track for a piddling fee with the embedded player link below.

Rock on, my dudes.

Bank holiday bonus track.

As promised, I’m here to premiere another new tune, which I was originally going to use as part of a project to remix The Cure‘s epic instrumental track, Carnage Visors.

This particular incarnation of the evolving composition proved unsuitable for the final version of the Cure mix, (about which, more later) but it seemed a waste to consign it to the digital scrapheap, so I added some atmospherics to the basic framework and voila!

Sunday mix.

I’m proud to present two more eclectic selections from my new musical output for your Sunday evening listening pleasure.

First a funky little number called Brass Monkey Business, featuring the warm and organic sounds of horns and guitars…

…contrasting nicely with this bouncy slab of techno, going by the name of Biometrik

Hope you enjoy those, sorry if you’ve been waiting since last weekend, I completely forgot.

As a bonus, I shall be uploading another new tune tomorrow, promise…

***Exclusive Album Launch Announcement***

Yes, it’s true.

ISOLATION RADIO, the album, is a reality!

I have just released my first ever collection of original musical material for public consumption on Bandcamp and here exclusively and first anywhere in the world, I present it to you, my lovely readers.

You have already had a chance to sample many of the delights contained within, via the audio visual noodling I have engaged in of late, but now is your chance to actually own my…uniquely unschooled sonic oeuvre.

If I have embedded it correctly, you should see the Bandcamp player for the album below, where you may experience it for free as often as you like.

If for some reason you are unable to access Isolation Radio directly from there, you can find it HERE; where you are welcome to purchase it for the frankly piddling sum of £3, (or more, should you deem it worthy) or even browse the free tracks I have experimented with over the years.

Sci-fi techno audio visual extravaganza.

Over the weekend I created another multimedia project, to showcase the further evolution of my attempts at musical composition.

This piece, entitled Deadlights, is accompanied by a video constructed from clips of a Japanese science fiction movie called Space Battleship Yamato, along with the usual array of peculiar swirly patterns, expertly synched with the music.

I am also testing out my ability to embed the Instagram video player into posts (a process WordPress doesn’t make easy via the mobile app) so hopefully that will appear directly beneath this paragraph. However, if are unable to access Instagram for the some reason, I am also including the YouTube version. I hope you enjoy my cinematic endeavours, make sure you play it loud. ;~}
