K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Welcome to metallic Monday on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I chose the theme for this week’s challenge on Friday and it was simply this; Metal.

Whatever metallic materials you wish to use for your photographic subject are acceptable; shiny, rusty, intricate, industrial, sculpted, molten, anything you like, as long as it’s metal.

I went the lightweight route, using aluminum foil in varying stages of scrunchiness, under different light sources and with a selection of coloured surfaces to reflect from, to create these artistic images.

K’lee’s photo for today can now be found HERE.

Now, it’s your turn.

*****

To get involved with the challenge, post a photo to your blog on Monday, add a pingback to this post (or to K’lee’s) and don’t forget to tag your post #CosPhoChal.

Alternatively, add a link to your blog in the comments of either mine or K’lee’s post and we’ll come and check out your entry.
Any and all effects, editing, Photoshop, Instagram, morphing, collages or whatever other post production techniques you fancy are permitted, (in fact, they’re actively encouraged!) so get creative and turn your photos into artworks for the Cosmic Photo Challenge.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

img_20160318_210825-picsay.jpgHello there.

Monday again, so time for the weekly photographic experimentation session that is K’lee an Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week I’m going for a somewhat less abstract offering than my last one, although I have still kept a bit of magic in reserve.

Audrey has been very poorly for the last week or so, with a really nasty cold/cough/chest infection that has kept her off school since last Wednesday. I’m sure she hasn’t got bored of watching endless Scooby Doo DVDs just yet, but I thought she might appreciate a like-minded playmate to keep her entertained, so here’s something I put together from our graveyard visit a couple of weeks ago…

Double Trouble.

K’lee already has his contribution posted, which you can see at this link, so pop over and check it out.

Next week, we shall be officially starting our themed photos, so watch out for a reminder prompt each Friday, (starting this Friday) letting you know how to take part.

In the meantime, if you have a Cosmic Photo to contribute, add it to your blog and leave a link in the comments (or pingback here or to K’lee’s blog, they are now working again) and don’t forget to tag your posts;

Deconstructing the selfie…

Latest post from my photography blog, Photo Sans Frontiers.
This time I’m attempting a bit of artistic portraiture…

Photo Sans Frontiers

Selfies, the ubiquitous personal identifier for millions of people all over the world.
Never really been one for them myself, but I thought I’d try a few and see if I could “art them up” a bit.

Here are six of my favourites…

Get Spangled…

Just because I haven’t done any for a while, I thought I’d have another go at creating one of my peculiar sonic soundscapes at the weekend.
And since I can never resist adding a visual element to these little experiments, I made one of my lo-tech videos to accompany the new tune.

That’s it, just that.

And here it is, “SPANGLES”, in all its twinkly glory.
Enjoy.

Picture this: Deep Dream…

I’ve already posted a selection of pictures that have had the Deep Dream treatment, (photos that have been uploaded to Google’s open source artificial neural network, allowing sleeping computer servers to “dream” about them) over on Photo Sans Frontiers, but I haven’t been able to stop playing with it since, so here are ten of the best of the rest.

As before, bizarrely mis-shapen dogs feature prominently. What is it about computers and dogs?

There’s no way that I can avoid playing out with this I’m afraid…
