K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I thought it would be difficult, coming up with something to meet the requirements of K’lee’s prompt on today’s K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, but a cycle ride yesterday with Audrey gave me inspiration for; The blues and the golds.

Blue sky, golden autumnal foliage.

Easy.

Oh, and because I can never just leave it at that, I made a new artwork with three of the images above, which Rhonda says looks like the logo from a superhero costume.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

We’re turning the prompt on its head this week, per my suggestion that your entries for K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge fall under the loose definition of; Upside down.

Whether you choose to capture an object which is, itself, the wrong way up, invert an existing image, or any combination of the two, it’s all fine with us.

I’ve chosen to use the reflective properties of the River Taw to provide a trio of optical double-takes for you to ponder.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

For this week’s adventure in imagery, K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge asked you to do some duplication, for K’lee’s prompt; Double the expression through double exposure.

This sounded like fun to me straight away, because I love a bit of mucking about and Audrey is always keen to star in challenge posts, so we went for a bike ride around the local park and did some panoramic experiments.

These weren’t created in the strictest sense of a “double exposure”, because they were taken in one slow pan, with Audrey running round behind me to change position, but the result is the same.

We also did a bit of an experiment with those fancy 360° 3D photo thingies you see on Facebook and Pinterest, except ours aren’t sweeping panoramas of cathedrals or tropical waterfalls; they are of Audrey playing pool in the pub and following herself around the living room.

After that, I had another idea, while looking through the rippled glass of the door into our kitchen.

This is another example of not-really-double-exposure, but it kind of falls into the same category; in that it’s two photos of the same thing (in this case, me) taken separately, then stuck together again.

I took an ordinary, boring selfie, then took another, but this time through the aforementioned glass door.

Then I created this rather Magritte-like composite image, which I think came out quite well.

Cosmic Photo prompt.

I can honestly say the late prompt isn’t because of my memory this week, as K’lee is the one who brings us K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge today and he didn’t post his suggestion until this afternoon.

What he did post, however, makes up for its late arrival by being extra enigmatic; Double the expression through double exposure.

So it’s double vision on Monday morning (but this time, on purpose) and I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

It was only after I set the prompt for this week’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge that I realised; I wasn’t quite so spoilt for choice as I’d originally thought, when it came to finding examples of The onset of autumn.

I like to create something original whenever I can, without trawling the archives too much, (even though I did feature the same trees in a previous post) so I made a new piece of art, too.

These sycamore trees are just beginning to get their dramatic red plumage…

…and this handful of leaves from the garden…

…was transformed into a work of autumnal art.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today’s theme on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge was chosen by K’lee and his prompt was perfect for me, as I have a huge number of pictures which fit the description of; Wings across the skies.

The weekend weather was so utterly lousy; any suitably avian subjects were probably trying to find a perch to cling onto, far too busy to pose for photos.

So I picked a couple of archive images which I liked and made an “artistic” one, too. See what you think.
