Midweek musical madness.

Time for more sonic experimentation to brighten up your hump day.

Firstly, here’s a brand new slab of deep, dark techno, called Fathom

…followed by this free download of a truly preposterous concoction; two previously separate compositions spliced together to make up a veritable cornucopia of weird noises and conspicuous bleepery, Datastream.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Welcome to another edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, this week celebrating the advent of; Midsummer.

I chose to illustrate the midpoint of 2021 with some simple shots of the garden, showcasing our growing collection of clematis varieties which are already flowering well this year.

How did you do with the challenge over the weekend, let’s have a look…

Any and all effects, editing, Photoshop, Instagram, morphing, collages, animation, gifs, or whatever other post production techniques you fancy are permitted, (in fact, they’re actively encouraged!) so get creative and turn your photos into artworks for the Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Midnight mix.

While we’re on the subject of mixing, here’s the result of me mashing together two of my own crazily cacophonous creations to come up with an even more extraordinarily eclectic confection of sonic extravagance.

Behold the frenetic, skittering, glitching cavalcade of confusion which is Klatter

Cosmic Photo prompt.

For your prompt on The Cosmic Photo Challenge this week, I’m making it easy by setting the theme (with the usual seasonally-adjusted caveat for those of you in distant lands) as; Midsummer.

The solstice was only a few days ago, so I think that’s close enough to the middle of the year to count and the weather even looks fairly decent. So get out and show us how your area of the globe looks at this halfway point of 2021.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

For today on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, I asked you to concentrate your creative talents on the prompt; Inversions.

I had no clear idea what I was going to do, just that it would involve some digital mucking about and it turned out to be…interesting.

Would it look strange if flowers and clouds changed places? Or if rivers swapped their traditional home for a more confined life on land? Could you fit a forest inside a church?

The answers to these somewhat unusual questions are now available, should you be the inquisitive sort…

Now let’s see your topsy turvy attempts to meet this week’s challenge…

New EP release.

And here it is, my latest original release on Bandcamp; three huge tunes featuring a mixture of riffing guitars, hard techno and trance-like rhythms, all compiled into an EP called Nova.

Give it a listen for free, buy an individual track or get all three at a discountn price via the player link below.

I’m rather proud of this collection, into which I put quite a lot of time and creative energy, so I hope you find something to entertain you.

Play it loud. ;~}

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good morning and welcome to another prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge on this, my nine year anniversary with WordPress. My, how time flies when you’re having fun.

Anyway, this week I’m setting a theme that we’ve had before, one which is fairly open to interpretation; Inversions.

Put your own inimitable spin on that and we’ll all meet back here for a mosey through each others’ photo albums on Monday.

Have a great weekend, everyone.
