It’s time for this week’s exercise in redefinition with the alternative dictionary. Today we focus on professional party poopers;
“Rationale” – (of bar staff) To limit your beer intake.

I had to dodge the rain for this week’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, having unwisely set the theme of; A hint of Spring.
By the time I got round to taking any photos yesterday it had already been raining on and off all morning and the equally watery sunshine only made the briefest of appearances, before Storm Freya arrived to spoil everyone’s weekend for good.

K’lee springs into action HERE.
And now you can show us your seasonal offerings.

I know, I’m sorry, I’m very late for this week’s prompt for K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, it’s been non-stop for the last few days.
Anyway, your theme for Monday’s post is fairly simple; A hint of Spring.

We get nautical for today’s entry in the alternative dictionary;
“Substance” – The slightly hunched, head forward position assumed by anyone looking through a periscope.

The sky is quite literally the limit this week on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, because of the prompt K’lee set us on Friday; Move the clouds, a heavenly perspective.
Now I’m a big fan of cloudscapes and have a large selection to choose from, so I picked a few from the archives and used a couple more as backdrops for two new views of an imaginary Barnstaple.
You may recognise an old stone building from earlier posts, relocated from the Yeo to the Taw river, along with some other impossible structures I created from shots of the town’s eclectic architecture.

K’lee will be looking to the skies HERE.
Now it’s your turn to give us a tour of the heavens, let’s see what you brought to the party.

For K’lee’s latest choice of theme on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, he picked one I already have plenty of material for; Move the clouds, a heavenly perspective.
We’re never short of spectacular aerial views around here, so I’ll hopefully be able to capture something new, too.
You know the drill; meet back here on Monday and show us watcha got.

Today’s badly spelled alternative definition is way too energetic for me;
“Absent” – The smell of a gym.

I set the theme of Food for today’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, which was a spur of the moment decision and I didn’t really know what I’d do, although I did think it might be nice to include some movement in my contribution this week.

So I set up a makeshift studio in the kitchen with a tripod and my Stikbot stop motion app and started chopping. As it turned out, the vegetables had more personality than I originally thought.
First I made a couple of artistic compositions…

…followed by fifteen second stop frame animation which I was quite pleased with, but then I started mucking about with some effects and added a soundtrack by Krautrock guru Manuel Göttsching and it ended up as this one and a half minute masterpiece.
I’m sure K’lee will be cooking up something delicious for you HERE.
Now it’s time to share your cunningly captured culinary creations.

For this week’s theme on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, I’ve chosen something I know you will all have a chance to capture at some point over the weekend; Food.
It’s a prompt we’ve had before, I think, but there’s lots of room for culinary inspiration; so whether it’s raw or cooked, straightforward or artistic, let’s get some mouthwatering foodie photos to start the week.
You know how to do it by now…

Once more into the alternative dictionary, my friends, with today’s misspelled missive taking a turn for the medically mathematical;
“Ventricle” – A leaky diagram.
