Cosmic Photo prompt.

For today’s prompt on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge it’s finally time to get festive, as I am asking you all to; Show us your Christmas.

Since most of us will be on a break from work, we’re going to give you all week to post your photos and let us in on your festivities in whatever way you like.

So however you celebrate in your part of the world, have a wonderful yuletide season and we’ll see you on the other side.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

For this week on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge I asked you all to Showcase yourself and give us some of your greatest hits to inspire our collective creativity.

I chose to follow my own suggestions; I searched through the last twelve of months of photos to see what jumped out at me; picked another shot which I’ve always been really pleased with and added a few others that fall broadly into the “mucking about” category.

The image from this year that caught my eye wasn’t a hugely spectacular or technically complicated one, but the composition is nicely balanced and it’s a great shot of Audrey from one of our cycling/photography outings in the summer.

I have taken a lot photos of birds in flight, capturing action shots of gulls and ducks feeding at our local wildfowl reserve, which is where I took this second picture a few years ago and it’s one I am still rather proud of.

Which brings us to a more adventurous form of the photographic art; my experiments with digital editing and manipulation from over the years.

Try not to have nightmares…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Ah, the nights are drawing in earlier and the prompts are getting posted later, it must be nearly Christmas on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, but we haven’t reached the festive photos just yet.

Although, come to think of it, this is traditionally the time of year for retrospectives and “best of” compilations, so let’s jump on that bandwagon for today’s theme.

I’m setting the prompt for Monday’s post as; Showcase yourself.

Show us the best of your best; whether it’s a favourite photo of 2019, an image you’ve always been especially proud of, the result of trying a new editing technique, or just a picture you’ve never had an excuse to post before.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

We had a little confusion over the prompt at the weekend, but we eventually provided you with two options for K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge this week; Playing with light or The coming of winter/Winter’s breath.

I initially thought I’d go with some low winter sunshine…

…but when I got home, Rhonda and Audrey were decorating our newly-erected Christmas tree, so I decided to take inspiration from that and do some long exposure mucking about.

*edit: I could hardly let this evening’s spectacular sunset go by without capturing it for the challenge, too.

It has just occurred to me that I asked y’all for suggestions for this week’s theme on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, but I don’t recall seeing any arrive, so I’m going to arbitrarily pick something myself and, if K’lee posts one later, you’ll have a choice of two*.

My off the cuff prompt for today is; Playing with light.

While I try to think of what that might entail, you have a lovely weekend and we’ll see you back here on Monday to see what we all came up with.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Today on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge I have gone for a very basic interpretation of the theme; Blurred.

Audrey and I went for our weekly pool session yesterday, so I took a few shots of the demon potter in action, capturing the motion of speeding balls as she smashed the triangle apart on the break.

K’lee will get all fuzzy for you HERE.
