Cosmic Photo prompt.

Good morning and welcome to the weekend, time for me to give you your prompt for The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Something topical for you to play with this week as, in line with the “new normal”, I’ve picked; Choose your masks.

Spin that any way you like, but come back to us on Monday with something fabulous to show off your creative skills.

Enjoy your time off, stay safe, see you in a couple of days.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week’s theme on The Cosmic Photo Challenge was set with no particular subject in mind, but with an idea how to execute the brief; A splash of colour.

I did a lot of careful fingertip erasing to achieve these eye-catching images, a few of blooms in the garden and our very own Audrey Rose ensconced in the floofy comfort of her armchair IT suite.

Now it’s your turn to bring some colour into our lives. Go on, you know you want to…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

I hope this wet weekend finds you all safe and well and ready to take part in another edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which today is inspired by the prompt; A splash of colour.

How you interpret that suggestion is entirely up to you and your creative capabilities, but I’m sure your collective talent will rise to the occasion as always.

If you’ve never taken part before, why not make this your inaugural interaction with our friendly little photo club, it’s easy when you know how…

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Welcome to another week and another edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge, which is brought to you by the theme of; Collages.

I have once more gone for the unusual end of the creative spectrum, with this slightly off the wall composition.

Where did your inspiration take you over the weekend, show us your offerings…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

I have decided that for today’s prompt on The Cosmic Photo Challenge, I am going to continue the artistic theme of the last couple of weeks and request that your submissions are; Collages.

They don’t have to be as peculiar as my surreal compositions, but I’d like you to try and combine some images into a whole which is more than the sum of its parts for Monday’s post.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Hello and welcome to a place both wonderful and strange, The Cosmic Photo Challenge, this week brought to you by the theme of; Surrealism.

Yesterday I spent a relaxing, Zen-like hour or so, carefully and precisely photographing, editing, positioning and erasing images, to produce the cryptic masterpiece you see before you.

So, what peculiar delights do you have to show us this week?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

In a bit of a first for The Cosmic Photo Challenge (although, ironically, it’s the second) I’m giving you almost the same prompt two weeks running, due to how impressed and entertained I was with your abstracted posts

So, for the sake of originality, let’s call this week’s theme; Surrealism and see what fantastical creations you can come up with.

Composites, collages, warping, swirling, bending and twisting your images are all options for this freestyle prompt, even photos that didn’t come out quite the way you intended are welcome.

So I’ll see you in a couple of days for another mind bending Monday post.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I asked you to get creative for The Cosmic Photo Challenge this week, simply by setting the prompt; Abstract.

That could mean pretty much anything when it comes to mucking around with photos, because once I start I always get carried away.

Here’s the result of an hour or so of digital fiddling, brace yourselves…

So, what comparatively sane creations did you come up with at the weekend?

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Running late again (just for a change) this week, but I’ve finally made it and now I’m here it’s time to set the theme for Monday’s post on The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

{Apologies to anyone who was waiting for an entry in the alternative dictionary on Wednesday, but it seems I have mastoiditis and I haven’t been at my best for a few days. Normal service should be resumed as soon as possible, fingers crossed.}

Anyway, on to today’s prompt, which I have chosen as an excuse for some non-specific photographic mucking about; Abstract.

So get your creative thinking caps on and provide us all with a little artistic visual stimulation with which to start the week.

The Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I asked you to use the theme of the rough with the smooth as your inspiration for this week’s edition of The Cosmic Photo Challenge and I was inspired by two rather different examples of horticulture.

We were given some black lilies by our next door neighbours and I was looking forward to seeing them bloom dramatically amongst the ferns, but what we actually got was this mildly disturbing and very rough mutation…

…with buds growing out of buds, like the chest burster in Alien.

Which contrast very nicely with the smooth sleek forms of the day lilies, the star gazer lily and the perfect geometry of the dahlia which started blooming yesterday.

Now let’s see how you interpreted the prompt this week.

Come on in, the pictures are lovely!
