Cosmic Photo prompt.

Just in time to give you a full weekend to consider the prompt for K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, this week set by K’lee, who has chosen; Bodies at rest, bodies in motion.

Quite a lot of scope there, I think, so get your photography heads on and show us something groovy to start the week.

You know what to do…

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

It’s Monday again and it’s time to start the week with a quiz!

Yes, K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge brings you a visual conundrum today, using the old “say what you see” format as a prompt, to test your mental, as well as your photographic creativity.

I am probably making it too easy for you with my well known quote, but it was the first thing I thought of when I was explaining to concept to Audrey yesterday, so here goes…

And here are the originals…

There, that wasn’t too difficult, was it?

K’lee will attempt to puzzle you HERE, later.

Now you can have a go at bamboozling us, it’s easy when you know how…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Saturday means prompt day on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge (if I’m really honest) and today it’s my turn to choose the theme.

I’ve decided to go with another quiz-esque challenge this week and I’m asking you all to make a; Say what you see montage.

You know, a set of photos which describe a phrase or saying, only you have to provide the photos.

So let’s see what you can come up with to puzzle us on Monday.

One liner Wednesday: Alternative dictionary.

I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll say it again; when I get one of these alternative definitions stuck in my head, I just have to get it out by posting it. Even if it isn’t terribly clever or hilariously funny, my brain refuses to latch onto anything else until I’ve jettisoned whatever mental ballast is weighing it down.

Hence today’s entry in the alternative dictionary;

“Scarcity” – A frightening place to live.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, with plenty of summer sunshine to help capture some pictures for K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, this week’s theme being; Where the wild things are.

I hoped to find a plethora of willing wildlife models, eager to pose for close ups, in amongst the foliage of the garden, but only a longhorn beetle made the effort. So I had to content myself with some hungry gulls down on the river and sea shells (come on, they had wild animals in once, right?) from my walk on the beach with Audrey yesterday morning.

K’lee’s post is now up and you should go HERE for your viewing pleasure.

Now it’s time for you to show us your wild side…

Cosmic Photo prompt.

Well, it’s Saturday morning (just barely) so I’m not all that late with your prompt for K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge this week.

It’s another gorgeous weekend so far, meaning I’ll be spending as much time as possible in the garden, where I hope to spot some suitable candidates for K’lee’s chosen theme; Where the wild things are.

So why not show us your wild side and take part in Monday’s challenge, it’s easy when you know how…

From start to Finnish: The Woolhouse International Rescue service.

Those of you who follow my particular brand of online nonsense will already be aware that I am a huge Twin Peaksfan. You may also remember that this obsession with David Lynch’s extraordinary TV odyssey, led to me being involved in the comedic fellowship of The Woolhouse Boys, a Facebook group set up to celebrate an obscure side-character and his garish knitwear.

{If you are now scratching your head and thinking I’ve lost it completely, GO HEREto find out more}

As I have previously indicated, this merry band of like-minded, friendly geeks and nerds are only too happy to lend a helping hand to other members in times of need, which is one of the reasons I love The Woolhouse so much.

Well at the weekend, I was able to offer a little woolly thinking to a couple of fellow Lynch-obsessives from snowy Finland, who have been making Twin Peaks-inspired short films for some time.

Merja and Tarja sent me a link to their latest project and I suggested a small tweak to the music, saying I’d be happy to help if they needed it.

Long story, short; I offered to mix the soundtrack for them and, since they were happy with the result, I thought it only fair that I shared it with you here.

There are already several other short films on their YouTube channel, so if you like atmospheric, enigmatic audio visual treats, why not pop over and subscribe, especially if you’re a Twin Peaks fan.

Here is the short clip to which I added a small pinch of sonic polishing, so please enjoy DARK DREAM.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Time for another bank holiday edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, with the theme provided by yours truly; In the country.

Quite a lot of scope, depending on your interpretation I suppose, but I kept it simple, with a slight twist of perspective and a bit of artistic licence.

My photographic offerings for today were all captured from atop the imposing viaduct, which carries the A361 North Devon link road across a valley which forms part of the Castle Hill estate at Filleigh.

A quick walk down the road from a convenient layby and I was rewarded with fabulous views of the steep forested slopes and meandering river below, lush and green in the patchy morning sunshine.

You’ll find K’lee’s inspired images HERE.

But we want to see what you found out in the countryside at the weekend, so come and join in, it’s easy…
