K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Monday again, how does it come round so quickly? But since we’re here, let’s get on with this week’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, for which I set the theme on Friday; Photoshop magic.

Now, as I said on Friday, I had a reason for picking this particular prompt and I hinted at it in yesterday’s post; but today I’m posting an old favourite and one more new image to tease the full story, later in the week.

Here’s me, talking to myself again…

…and here is a gif I made of John Justice Wheeler, modelling that soon-to-be-legendary knitwear for FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper and Windom Earle in the Black Lodge. (Original photos: David Lynch/Showtime)

Check out K’lee’s post HERE, it’s a stunning piece of work.

Now it’s time to see what you got when you went Photoshopping.

To get involved with the challenge, post a photo to your blog on Monday, add a pingback to this post (or to K’lee’s) and don’t forget to tag your post #CosPhoChal.

Alternatively, add a link to your blog in the comments of either mine or K’lee’s post and we’ll come and check out your entry.
Any and all effects, editing, Photoshop, Instagram, morphing, collages or whatever other post production techniques you fancy are permitted, (in fact, they’re actively encouraged!) so get creative and turn your photos into artworks for the Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Cosmic Photo prompt…

Ok, I forgot the prompt yesterday, sorry.

But I remembered just in time, so here I am, ready to give you your inspiration for next week’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

For this challenge I would like you to get extra creative and show me your pasting skills, because Monday’s theme is; Photoshop magic.

I have to admit to an ulterior motive for this, but as I hardly ever choose a prompt on the basis of an idea I’ve already had, I thought I’d indulge myself. Having said that, in return I’m prepared to give you some leeway on the use of stock photos, (if, for instance, you’d like to edit yourself onto the peak of Everest, without the inconvenience of actually going to the Himalayas, that’s allowed) which gives you scope to do almost anything.

In short, I’d like your photo to add up to more than just the sum of its parts and become a whole new image. Whether you actually use Photoshop itself, or a similar form of photo manipulation gadget, (I use PicSayPro for Android) is entirely up to you, but the result should involve at least one photo superimposed on another.

Have fun.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

At first I thought K’lee’s choice of theme for this week’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge was a case of wishful thinking, when he picked; Signs of Spring’s Return.

But after a quick perusal of our small garden in yesterday’s grey winter light, I concluded that K’lee’s optimism was well founded as there are many new shoots and indications of returning life.

See for yourself…

K’lee has sprung into action and his gorgeous post is now HERE for your viewing pleasure.

Now it’s time for you to show us your green shoots of inspiration…

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

It’s time for another Monday edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, this week prompted by my insistence that you use The Elements as your starting point.

Now, as with most of my blogging activities, I very rarely plan anything, so when I casually mentioned the periodic table in Friday’s prompt it was just a throwaway suggestion. However, while I was trying to think of something to do for today’s post, I had a flash of inspiration and below you will find an excerpt from my very own version of that invaluable chemical reference chart.

Ok, nerds, over to you…

How did you do, get them all?
K’lee was slightly late on parade, but his post is now HERE

Now it’s your turn to get elemental.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

The time has come again for K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge and this week it was K’lee’s turn to pick the theme. He chose to get up close and personal once again and asked us to enter; The macro world.

I went with some straight close ups, choosing to use some natural subjects I found around the kitchen; ice cubes in a glass of cranberry juice, a carnation flower bud, soap bubbles and the bottom of a garlic bulb.

You can see K’lee’s photos for the week HERE.

Now it’s your turn to show us some of your intimate details…

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Good morning, welcome to Monday!

Time for your weekly burst of photographic creativity, with K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge being brought to you by the theme of; Patterns in/from nature.

I chose, as usual, to muck about with my photos, using a picture of the bare oak tree behind our house to make an arboreal snowflake and a shot of a large pine tree to make…well, something else.

What do you think, cool huh?

You can see K’lee’s post HERE.

Now it’s your turn.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Hello and welcome to the inside story of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, by which I mean to allude to K’lee’s prompt for this week’s theme; Interiors.

I have chosen to interpret this in three ways; firstly with an artificially aged photo taken inside Arlington church; then with the interiors of a plastic jug and a soft drink bottle respectively; finishing up with a little collage I made from photos of the internal stairway of the building that houses our flat.

Enjoy.

K’lee was somewhat late posting, but you can now find his photos HERE.

Now it’s your turn…
