Another new week is met with a new edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, using K’lee’s prompt from Friday for our theme; The Stillness and the Light.
Nothing came to mind at first, then I remembered this early morning shot of an old oak tree in the misty silence of a February sunrise and I think it fits the bill nicely.
K’lee shows us his HERE, so now it’s time for you to show us yours.

To get involved with the challenge, post a photo to your blog on Monday, add a pingback to this post (or to K’lee’s) and don’t forget to tag your post #CosPhoChal.
Alternatively, add a link to your blog in the comments of either mine or K’lee’s post and we’ll come and check out your entry.
Any and all effects, editing, Photoshop, Instagram, morphing, collages or whatever other post production techniques you fancy are permitted, (in fact, they’re actively encouraged!) so get creative and turn your photos into artworks for the Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I tell people that all the time. Keeping an eye out for those times of the day when the light is worth breaking the camera out.

Nice single ray of light coming through the clouds if that is what it is.

It was a sunbeam, yes. Possibly coming from over the viaduct I was standing under at the time. I’ll find the original post for you, hold on..

That was a beautiful series of photos near the viaduct. I especially liked the view below the viaduct showing the curvature of it in the top part of the photo.

Thanks. And thanks for following the photo-blog, I’m hoping to post more regularly on there, to save space on this one. You might also enjoy the…ahem…”alternative” versions of the viaduct in the Impossible Buildings posts on there, which you should be able to find with the search bar

That viaduct looks like the first one on that alternative versions page. It looks like a boat.

I have to say, I think you’re right.
I very clearly recall taking that, I did a whole post on a misty early Sunday morning and it was completely silent as the sun as rising.
