There were a few candidates for the “L” spot in today’s #atozchallenge, continuing my B to Z of Twin Peaks, but I think I can squeeze the alternatives into a different letter, allowing us to celebrate a character with no redeeming features whatsoever.
There are good guys and there are bad guys.
Then there are the thugs and the goons; the ones who don’t have the brains to know the difference and who wouldn’t care if they did, they’re just in it for the money and the violence.
Leo Johnson falls into the latter category.
Truck driver, abusive husband, drug dealer, henchman for hire, and all round scumbag, it’s almost possible to feel sorry for Leo by the end of season two because, well, karma can be a bitch.
Here he is, doling out some good old fashioned domestic advice to his unfortunate wife, Shelley.
As you can imagine, Leo never makes it easy for us to like him, although he’s a great character who is integral to several storylines, so watching him reap what he sows becomes increasingly entertaining as his misdeeds come back to bite him in the ass.
So as a tribute to the talentless Mr Johnson, I’ve fitted him out in something from the John Justice Wheeler hillbilly collection, because The Wool doesn’t judge.
