K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

08 Aug

Good morning (or afternoon, depending on your timezone) and welcome to this week’s installment of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, with today’s theme chosen by me.

I picked Contrast, giving you free reign to choose your subject and interpret the prompt pretty much however you like.

For my contribution, I’ve taken yet more photos of our ever-evolving Mound; the focal point of our garden and the subject of the weekend’s work in the sunshine. I’ve chosen to use black and white, to highlight the difference in the texture and form between the various plants and the decorative features.

Check out K’lee’s photos of the day, HERE.

To get involved with the challenge, post a photo to your blog on Monday, add a pingback to this post (or to K’lee’s) and don’t forget to tag your post #CosPhoChal.
Alternatively, add a link to your blog in the comments of either mine or K’lee’s post and we’ll come and check out your entry.
Any and all effects, editing, Photoshop, Instagram, morphing, collages or whatever other post production techniques you fancy are permitted, (in fact, they’re actively encouraged!) so get creative and turn your photos into artworks for the Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Wow. These are all sensational. I really like the last flower shot for some reason. Well done, dude.

Oh my!!! The third from the last looked like a character from Gane of Thrones. The fourth from last is my favourite. The lighting is natural there. 🙂

Reblogged this on Photo Sans Frontiers and commented:

Today’s Cosmic Photo Challenge features the prompt, CONTRAST.

Great granite gargoyles, Batman! Your Mound must be magnificent — even in B&W it’s lush! The last one is my favorite, too. There’s something inviting about the rich simplicity of its thick, bumpy-soft, suede-ishness that is extremely appealing.

What a truly marvellous comment, thank you.
You’ll be glad to know that I’m just putting together a selection of colour photos from this weekend’s work in the garden, which will be posted on Photo Sans Frontiers, my photographic blog.
(I suspect that it will get reblogged on here, but I like people to visit the other site, too)
