One liner Wednesday…

Following on from last week’s composite proverb, another combination of aphoristic axioms springs to mind:

“Faith can move mountains, so if the mountain won’t come to Mohammed, someone needs to have more faith, that’s all I’m saying.”

Sad to c u poking fun of what is sacred to others. I really respected u…

It’s not poking fun at anyone, it’s pointing out the inconsistencies in this kind of proverb. It’s also just a joke and I see no reason to make religion immune to humour. I have “poked fun” at Christianity far more often and I see nothing wrong with that either.
A lot of people are passionate about sport, art, music, literature, etc, but it won’t stop me making fun of any of that either.

Just saying, but passion and reverence are different. I love the harry potter books but if u poke fun at them I wouldn’t mind because though I’m passionate about them, they aren’t sacred.

It’s all a matter of perspective. I don’t consider anything “sacred”.
There have been many people of faith who have derived humour from their religion. If a little humour cannot be applied to these subjects, you end up with dogmatic zealots who take everything WAY too seriously and we all know where that leads…

I’m thinking there is a molehill extension to this gag somewhere too…

How about; “If your faith won’t move mountains, maybe you should start with molehills.” ?

It’s not funny, but it’d just spend the day circling around inside my head if I didn’t write it down.

        Keep working on it.

Or if your molehill moves you have way too much faith and should pick on something more your size to move.

That is very weird. I’ve just watched the video I posted and it’s definitely right. Must be a region thing.
