    I don’t get it. 😦 Maybe I’ve not recovered as much as I like to think I have, maybe my tea’s not working…

      You don’t get help that easily. Look up The Gold Rush. ;~}

        Well I’m very tired right now, but I may look it up later.

        It’s a Charlie Chaplin film, if that helps……from 1925….?

        I could just as easily used “Metropolis” or “The Jazz Singer”…

      This is one of those that was hilarious in my head, so I had to post it, hahaha

        I still don’t get it. I’ve had a hearty lunch and a lil nap. I’m sorry to have failed you.

        But does anything go in the blanks? Or is it just a series of silence?

        It’s just a dumb joke I’m afraid; the idea of there having been an original piece of silence that had to be edited into another piece of silence amused me, that’s all.

        OH, see, I’m tryin to fill in the holes. Like, “Can I get an E, Dale?” LOL

        I guessed the crossed out patch of silence might have confused some people too. Again, I can only apologize ;~}

    I think that quote from a silent film really says it all… 😉

      My apologies, when a daft idea gets into my head I have to write it down to get rid of it. ;~}

        Oh no, this was a great one-liner. I really enjoyed it!

    I have to admit, at first was thinking Morse Code. But then I read the comments. Funny, either way. 🙂
